Man United hopeful to agree transfer with £50m England international

According to the reports, Manchester United are still hoping to agree summer deal with Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier.
After a quiet start to the summer widow – Jose Mourinho’s only signing remains Swedish defender Victor Lindelof so far and Man United are beginning to make progress with a number of moves.
Man United appear set to beat Premier League champions Chelsea to the signing of Romelu Lukaku, with the Everton striker closing in on a £75million switch to Old Trafford.
But Man United’s Portuguese manager hopes to land three of four more top-class signings after Lukaku puts pen to paper and remains interested in 23-year-old Eric Dier.
The Red Devils had an opening bid for the England international rejected earlier in the summer but the reports from Daily Telegraph suggest Ed Woodward has kept in regular contact with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy since.
The Spurs are under no pressure to sell the English midfielder but it is believed the club would listen to offers around £50m.
While Man United have expressed interest in Chelsea holding midfielder Nemanja Matic, it is believed that Eric Dier has always been Mourinho’s top midfield target.
